About

Blake Conant was originally a painter and continues to apply artistic sensibilities to shaping golf courses, treating landforms like large-scale art projects.

Blake Conant is a respected American golf course architect and builder, known for his artistic approach and thoughtful, place-based design philosophy. Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1986, Conant holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Montana and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia. His entry into the golf industry began with a transformative internship building Tom Doak’s Dismal River (Red) in Nebraska in 2012, where he learned the importance of shaping and design in the field. Since then, he has contributed to prestigious projects across the United States and globally, including Pinehurst No. 10, Memorial Park in Houston, Old Barnwell, and Bel-Air Country Club restorations. Conant’s collaborative work through Dundee Golf emphasizes integrating natural landforms and site history, establishing him among the new generation of thoughtful golf architects inspired by the minimalist school. His projects frequently reflect innovative use of the landscape and creative strategies that challenge golfers at all levels.
