Brian Whitcomb is a renowned American golf course architect, club owner, and influential PGA Professional. Hailing from Prineville, Oregon, Whitcomb's early passion for golf began at the local club, where he was mentored by accomplished professionals. A PGA Member since 1984, he launched his career designing and operating courses in Arizona, making his mark with projects such as the 500 Club and Club West in Phoenix. In 1996, he designed and opened Lost Tracks Golf Club in Bend, Oregon, a course widely admired for blending seamlessly into Central Oregon’s landscape. Whitcomb also played a pivotal role in redesigning PGA Golf Club in Florida with Pete Dye and Tom Fazio. His collaborative philosophy extended to Bear Dance Golf Club in Colorado, a highly acclaimed project. As PGA of America President (2007–2008), he championed initiatives to empower golf professionals and captained the victorious 2014 U.S. Junior Ryder Cup Team.
