Erik Larsen is a leading American golf course architect recognized for his prolific career spanning nearly four decades. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Landscape Architecture and Horticulture, Larsen began his journey in the golf world working at Newton Country Club in his native Iowa. He rose to prominence through his key work with Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay at Palmer Course Design Company, designing nearly 100 courses across 23 states and 25 countries. As Executive Vice President of Arnold Palmer Design Company, Larsen played a pivotal role in managing global operations and establishing the company’s legacy. He founded Larsen Golf in 2011, emphasizing innovative, community-focused, and sustainable golf course and land planning solutions. Larsen’s notable projects include the redesign of Atlantic Beach Country Club, which hosted Korn Ferry Tour Championships, and the revitalization of St. Johns Golf Club in Florida. He is a former president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and a member of several prestigious industry organizations.
