Jim Lipe is a renowned American golf course architect with a distinguished career spanning over five decades. After earning a BS in Business Management and an MS in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, Lipe began professional golf design with William Newcomb Associates, later founding his own firm and becoming a senior design associate with Jack Nicklaus for more than 26 years. Over his global career, Lipe has contributed to the design and renovation of approximately 250 golf courses, working on five continents in 18 countries. His projects range from daily fee layouts to highly acclaimed championship courses, including Carlton Woods, Cabo Del Sol, Pebble Beach Golf Club, Castle Pines, and TPC of Michigan.
