A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in landscape architecture, he has spent over 30 years shaping the future of golf through his passionate work on more than 300 golf courses, particularly across the Eastern United States. Kay’s approach focuses on maximizing natural land features for both beauty and strategic challenge. His work includes new builds—such as the Rose Course in New Jersey—and expert renovations of classics like the Donald Ross and Tillinghast designs. Notable projects include The Architects Golf Club and Scotland Run in New Jersey, Charleston National Golf Club in South Carolina, Bear's Club in Florida, and Manhattan Woods Golf Club with Gary Player.
