Drawing on extensive experience from developing ten properties across Arizona, Texas, Colorado, Mexico, and Montana, he led the creation and development of the acclaimed Golf Club at Bear Dance, serving as its principal owner-operator. Bruening's collaborative, nature-inspired design philosophy guided Bear Dance, turning it into the home course for the Colorado PGA Section and earning local accolades. His company, Southwest Greens, expanded regional golf operations, managing award-winning properties such as Riverdale Golf Courses and acquiring other notable clubs like Colorado National Golf Club and Plum Creek Golf Club. Under Bruening's leadership, these courses have hosted prestigious tournaments and contributed to Colorado's golf heritage. In 2022, the portfolio was acquired by Heritage Golf Group, with Bruening continuing as a trusted advisor, ensuring the legacy and high standards of his course designs are maintained.
