Bruno Steensels is a highly respected Belgian golf course architect with a rich background in civil architecture and a lifelong passion for the sport. After earning his Master’s degree in Civil Architecture in Ghent in 1984, Steensels began his career in golf course design in 1987, working across Europe on more than 75 projects. In 1997, he founded his own firm, MasterGolf, which later became MasterGolf International, expanding his influence and portfolio. His approach prioritizes strategic design, environmental sensitivity, and a strong aesthetic. Steensels is not only known for his expertise in course design and renovation — including high-profile work at Royal Limburg Golf — but also as a dedicated amateur tournament golfer.
