Gerard Jol (born 1942) is a prominent Dutch golf course architect and landscape architect, best known for shaping the modern golf landscape of the Netherlands. After graduating from the Garden Architecture department of the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, Jol specialized in golf course design in England before founding Jol Golf Design. Over his career, he has worked on more than thirty courses across the Netherlands, contributing both to the design of new courses and renovation or expansion of existing ones. Jol is recognized as one of the 53 Senior Members of the European Institute of Golf Course Architects (EIGCA) and maintained a leadership role in Dutch golf architecture through decades of evolving golf course design. Notable projects include Golfclub Spaarnwoude, Utrechtse Golfclub Amelisweerd, and assisting with the acclaimed Stippelberg Golf Course. In 2002, Jol began collaborating with Michiel van der Vaart, ensuring a legacy of mentorship and continuity in the field.
