Gordon Zitting is a highly respected golf course architect best known for his pivotal role in designing and developing the acclaimed Copper Rock Golf Course in Hurricane Valley, Utah. Inspired by his early experiences in Hurricane Valley, Zitting spent decades transforming former desert farmland into a championship-caliber course. Copper Rock, which opened in February 2020, quickly earned recognition and was crowned as the top course in southern Utah by Golf Digest for three consecutive years (2021, 2022, 2023). The course stretches over 7,227 yards, weaving through dunes and offering panoramic views of Pine Valley Mountains, Hurricane Cliffs, and Zion National Park.
