About

Pern designed the highest golf course in Europe, located in Andorra, where the first tee and ninth green sit 2,260 meters above sea level.

Jeremy Pern is recognized as one of Europe’s most experienced golf course architects, with over thirty projects delivered across more than a dozen countries. His career began nearly four decades ago as a golf course construction manager, working alongside legendary architects such as Robert Trent Jones and Don Harradine. After a decade honing his skills in diverse locations, Pern established his own practice in France in 1990, focusing on integrating courses harmoniously into their landscapes. Notably, fifteen of his designs are listed in the Peugeot Guide to Europe’s Best Golf Courses, and three feature in the Rolex World's 1000 Best rankings. Pern was elected Vice President of the British Institute of Golf Course Architects in 1998 and has played a key role in uniting European golf architecture entities. He is also active as a lecturer and writer on environmental aspects of golf course design, holding an MSc in protected landscape management and a qualification in agronomy.
