Rodney Wright is an internationally recognized golf course architect with over 40 years of experience in designing award-winning golf courses worldwide. He is the founder of Wright Golf Design, where he is known for his hands-on approach and ability to create unique, memorable courses that integrate seamlessly with their natural surroundings. Early in his career, Wright became established working alongside Robin Nelson in Honolulu, Hawaii, and contributed to the renowned Nelson & Wright partnership, which was acclaimed for introducing local and exotic culture into golf course designs across the Pacific Rim, including noteworthy projects in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Wright’s expertise encompasses all aspects of golf master planning, course landscape design, site analysis, and irrigation. His influence extends across continents, and his philosophy centers on creatively routing courses to highlight the site's natural resources, ensuring harmony between the golfer’s experience and the environment.
