Course Report

The Dunes Course is the first Greg Norman design in Vietnam and the first true links-style course in Southeast Asia, with native sand dunes and seaside vegetation reminiscent of classic British Isles links.

About

BRG Da Nang Golf Resort’s Dunes Course, designed by Greg Norman, is Vietnam’s first true links-style course. Built on sandy coastal land with firm fairways, natural seaside vegetation, and dramatic dune landscapes. The course offers sweeping views of the East Sea and Marble Mountains and features bold strategic bunkering in a championship length routing.

Caddie Tip

On windy days, play punch shots under the breeze and favor the low approaches. Local caddies recommend keeping drives and long irons toward the fairway center, as errant shots can find rugged waste areas. Allow extra club on approach shots to raised greens, especially with coastal winds.

The Main Challenge

The toughest part of the Dunes Course is managing the exposed holes on windy days, as gusts can dramatically alter shot trajectories. Rugged native waste areas border many fairways and penalize wayward shots. The large, undulating greens demand accurate approaches and creative recovery shots.

The Good

Golfers love the authentic links experience, firm running fairways, and spectacular ocean and dune views throughout the round. The strategic bunkering and variety of shot-making options create memorable challenges for all skill levels. Wind and natural terrain constantly shape play, making every round different.

The Not So Good

Some players note conditioning varies seasonally and sandy waste areas can be difficult for new visitors. High winds sometimes make scoring very tough and can slow down pace of play. Better on-course directions and improved practice green quality are occasional requests.

Modern clubhouse offers locker rooms, showers, pro shop with local merchandise, multiple restaurants, and a relaxing lounge with panoramic views. Full-service bars, event spaces, and international cuisine make the facility welcoming for groups and individual golfers.
