Course Report

Camiral’s Stadium Course will host the Ryder Cup in 2031 and has previously staged multiple Spanish Opens and the DP World Tour Catalunya Championship.

About

The Stadium Course at Camiral Golf & Wellness, designed by Neil Coles and Ángel Gallardo, is one of Europe's most challenging and celebrated layouts. Routinely ranked among Spain’s top courses, it features dramatic elevation changes, superb conditioning, and tree-lined fairways fused with strategic bunkering and lakes. The course regularly hosts major professional tournaments.

Caddie Tip

Stay below the hole wherever possible, as putting surfaces can be quick and undulating. Keep your tee shots straight, as the rough is extremely penal throughout, and plenty of water hazards reward smart course management. Prioritize placement over distance on long par 4s.

The Main Challenge

Camiral’s Stadium Course’s toughest aspect is the demanding precision required off the tee and into greens. Strategic bunkering, water on seven holes, and thick rough make recovery difficult. Dramatic elevation changes and multi-tiered greens add relentless pressure to every shot.

The Good

Golfers rave about the outstanding challenge and immaculate conditioning. Hazards, shaping, and elevation changes provide strategic demands and visual drama throughout. Its reputation as one of Europe’s best is bolstered by memorable tournament history, top-rated practice facilities, and an exhilarating setting.

The Not So Good

Some players note that rough penalizes wayward shots severely, which can slow pace and frustrate higher handicap golfers. The course’s difficult elevation means walking is tough even for experienced players; buggies are recommended, and some wish walking was more practical.
