Course Report
The course lies adjacent to Grand Teton National Park, offering some of the most dramatic mountain backdrops in American golf.
About
Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. in 1973, is a picturesque 18-hole course nestled between Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. With mountain vistas and mature trees, this semi-private club offers a classic Wyoming golf experience, complemented by top-tier practice facilities, a full-service clubhouse, and the acclaimed North Grille Restaurant.
Caddie Tip
Jackson Hole G&TC features firm, fast greens and demands thoughtful play into prevailing winds. Aim for the center of large, undulating greens, even when pin positions tempt you. The course's open setting means wind direction can shift quickly—club up when playing into the breeze and watch approach shots carefully when the Grand Tetons are in view.
The Main Challenge
The biggest test at Jackson Hole G&TC is managing approach shots into sloping, well-bunkered greens, especially when crosswinds pick up off the mountains. The final stretch, playing toward the Tetons, requires accuracy and discipline with club selection, as deceptive distances and swirling wind can make for difficult par saves.
The Good
Golfers most love the stunning scenery at Jackson Hole G&TC, where every hole is framed by rolling terrain, wildlife sightings, and uninterrupted views of the Grand Tetons. The peaceful, natural environment, together with world-class service and a friendly staff, make rounds here truly memorable.
The Not So Good
Golfers occasionally note early morning frost delays and seasonal maintenance, which can restrict tee times during peak summer months. Some also mention the relative lack of elevation variance in hole design compared to more mountainous settings, making several holes feel visually similar on the back nine.
Signature Hole:
#
13
The 13th hole presents one of the most memorable views on the course, with water fronting the green that reflects the distant Tetons, making for a visually dramatic and photogenic approach. Although it is ranked as the second-easiest hole on the card, it still demands accuracy, as clearing the water and judging wind and distance are essential for success. The combination of natural beauty and shot-making challenge makes the 13th the defining hole of Jackson Hole Golf & Tennis Club.
Clubhouse
The clubhouse offers full locker rooms, a well-stocked golf shop, and the North Grille Restaurant with panoramic mountain views and patio dining. Onsite catering, private event space, and tennis courts are also available, providing a complete club experience.
Practice Facilities
The club features a newly renovated driving range, large short game area with practice bunkers, and an expansive putting green. Lessons and clinics are offered, and rental equipment is available. Facilities are among the best in the region, suitable for golfers of all levels.
