Course Report

Punta Blanca is Nick Price's first ever Caribbean design, and was created to anchor the region’s emerging resort golf scene.

About

Punta Blanca Golf Course is a par-72 layout in Punta Cana, designed by Nick Price. Opened in 2006, the course features undulating fairways, strategic bunkers, lakes, and Paspalum grass throughout. It offers a challenging but fun experience for all skill levels, complemented by full clubhouse and practice facilities in a tropical setting.

Caddie Tip

On holes 13 and 15, club up for the wind and aim for the center of the green, as short shots almost always find trouble. On 18, the tee shot is crucial—favor the left side to avoid a tricky approach. Take advantage of birdie chances on holes 4–12, but play safe on closing stretch.

The Main Challenge

The toughest stretch of the layout comes with the two mid-length par 3 island greens at 13 and 15, where accuracy is critical and swirling winds make club selection difficult. The closing hole 18 demands a precise tee shot and smart play to avoid hazards, presenting a real test for finishing strong.

The Good

Golfers love Punta Blanca's friendly all-inclusive atmosphere, open play policy, and well-designed layout that offers a generous yet engaging test for all skill levels. The clubhouse terrace, overlooking the practice green, and the signature par 3s deliver memorable rounds in a lush, tropical setting.

The Not So Good

Many players wish for improved maintenance of bunkers and tee boxes, as inconsistent sands and worn tee surfaces detract from the experience. Some golfers note that more regular attention to ball marks and fairway turf would help elevate overall conditions for visitors.

Signature Hole:

#

15

No items found.

The 15th hole is a par 3 featuring an island green surrounded by swamps. Measuring around 180 yards, it requires a precise shot as failure means no recovery. Typical Caribbean crosswinds add to the challenge, making it a memorable highlight for players.

Clubhouse

No items found.

A full restaurant and bar, pro shop, locker facilities, terrace overlooking the green, and beach club access are available. Guests can enjoy local cuisine, drinks, and relaxation onsite, with additional real estate and 5-star hotel options nearby for extended stays.

Practice Facilities

No items found.

Full driving range, putting green, chipping/pitching area, and lessons available. Club rental includes new models. Range balls are included with greens fee, and the facility is well suited to warming up before play or working on all aspects of your game.
