Course Report

The club’s 18-hole layout winds through the historic Annandale Plantation, and in recent years has hosted USGA amateur qualifying tournaments.

About

Reunion Golf & Country Club is a prestigious private club in Madison, Mississippi, featuring an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Bob Cupp. Opened in 2004, it showcases tree-lined fairways, rolling terrain, water hazards, and native vegetation, all set amidst the historic Annandale Plantation. With a luxurious 28,000-square-foot clubhouse and premier amenities, it stands as one of Mississippi’s top golf experiences.

Caddie Tip

Play conservatively off the tee to avoid the many tree-lined fairways and challenging water hazards. It’s critical to respect the elevation changes and be strategic with club selection on approach shots, especially around the sloping greens and deep bunkers.

The Main Challenge

Reunion’s greatest challenge comes from its length, especially from the championship tees, and the combination of elevated greens, well-positioned bunkers, and strategic water hazards. The back nine’s closing stretch, particularly holes 17 and 18, are known as stern tests for golfers of all levels.

The Good

Golfers love Reunion’s scenic, tree-lined fairways and the sense of exclusivity. The course flow, challenge level, recently built luxury clubhouse, and other top-class amenities—like practice areas and tennis courts—are consistently singled out as highlights of the total membership experience.

The Not So Good

Some golfers note that certain greens can become firm and fast during midsummer, making approach shots more difficult. The length from the tips is also demanding for mid-to-high handicappers, and occasional pace-of-play issues have arisen during busy weekends.

This hole’s demanding length, elevation change, and strategic hazards cement it as the course’s most memorable and formidable finisher.
