Course Report

The Patriot Golf Club was created as a tribute to the American spirit and honors U.S. military families with special memorials and patriotic elements throughout the facility.

About

The Patriot Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 2010, is widely recognized for its dramatic routing over marshes, woodlands, prairies, and canyons. Offering stunning 30-mile vistas and variety in elevation, the exclusive club provides members with a challenging and picturesque golf experience near Tulsa. Amenities and course conditioning are held to a high standard.

Caddie Tip

Pay close attention to elevation changes throughout the course—club selection can vary by two or more clubs on many holes. The greens have subtle breaks and often runoff areas, so stay below the hole to keep your approach shots manageable. On back nine canyons, layups are safer than trying to cut corners.

The Main Challenge

The course’s greatest challenge comes from its elevation shifts, well-placed bunkers, and frequent forced carries, especially as the back nine dips into canyons. Recovery from missed fairways is difficult, and misreading the slick, contoured greens can easily add strokes—precision and course management are key throughout.

The Good

Golfers consistently praise the variety of landscapes and memorable elevation changes, making each hole a distinct and dramatic playing experience. The clubhouse amenities, well-maintained greens, and attentive staff combine to create a refined and enjoyable atmosphere that leaves a strong impression on all who visit.

The Not So Good

Some players note that the course may be overly punishing for higher handicappers, with challenging forced carries and difficult approach angles. The dramatic elevation changes create tough walks and can slow pace of play, and some wish for additional alternate tees or relief options.

Signature Hole:

#

18

No items found.

The 18th hole, a par 4, is widely regarded as The Patriot's signature moment, playing dramatically downhill from a high plateau with panoramic views across 30 miles. Accuracy off the tee is essential to avoid misplayed angles, while the approach to a tucked green tests both distance and nerve. Visually stunning, it’s a memorable finishing challenge.

Clubhouse

No items found.

The clubhouse offers upscale dining, member lounges, locker rooms, and banquet/event space. There is also a well-stocked golf shop, boardroom facilities, terraces with scenic views, and multiple spaces for social events. Hospitality and service are noted as core strengths for the club.

Practice Facilities
