Course Report

Twin Dolphin Golf Club is the first Fred Couples Signature course built in Mexico, featuring a unique 19-hole layout with a special 'Bye Hole' designed for tie-breakers or friendly wagers post-round.

About

Twin Dolphin Golf Club is a visually stunning Fred Couples Signature design perched high above the Sea of Cortés in Cabo San Lucas. Opened in 2018, this 18-hole resort course weaves through arroyos and the desert with dramatic elevation changes, immaculate Bermuda fairways, expansive ocean views, and world-class service. Access is limited to resort guests and Twin Dolphin community members.

Caddie Tip

Take advantage of the local caddies' insight when reading greens—subtle ocean influences can make putts break more than anticipated. Avoid getting above the hole on approach shots as many greens are heavily contoured and run fast. The elevation changes provide extra carry, especially when playing toward the water.

The Main Challenge

The greatest challenge is navigating tight desert corridors and major elevation changes while managing firm, fast Bermuda greens. Several arroyos impact shot placement, and wind from the Sea of Cortés can shift rapidly. Strategic play is required throughout, especially around the greens.

The Good

Golfers love the panoramic Sea of Cortés views from almost every hole and the world-class service, including comfort stations and complimentary amenities. The Fred Couples design makes the most of the rugged, dramatic terrain to create a memorable, resort-caliber playing experience.

The Not So Good

Some visitors find the exclusivity—only resort guests and members are allowed—limits access and creates long-term waitlists. Occasional comments focus on the firmness and speed of the greens, which may challenge less experienced players.

Signature Hole:

#

11

No items found.

The signature hole at Twin Dolphin Club is the 11th hole, a stunning par-3 that plays 181 yards downhill to an undulating green with breathtaking views. This hole is renowned for its dramatic drop in elevation and its panoramic vistas, making it a visual highlight of the course. The tee shot demands precision due to the elevation change and the contours of the green, offering both a memorable and challenging experience for golfers. The backdrop of sweeping desert and ocean scenery further elevates the 11th as the course’s standout hole.

Clubhouse

No items found.

The clubhouse features luxurious locker rooms, fine dining overlooking the ocean, a well-stocked golf shop, and multiple outdoor terraces. Two on-course 'Red Door' comfort stations offer gourmet snacks, drinks, and hospitality befitting a five-star resort.
