Jason Straka is a highly esteemed American golf course architect, celebrated for his expertise in environmental golf course design and leadership within the industry. With a B.S. in Landscape Architecture (1994) and an M.P.S. in Turfgrass Management and Environmental Golf Course Design from Cornell University (1995), Straka’s education solidified his lifelong commitment to blending golf course functionality with environmental stewardship. He is a founding partner of Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design and has led numerous acclaimed new builds and renovations, such as Acaya Golf Club in Italy and The Oaks Club in Florida. Recognized as one of the youngest members ever elected to the Board of Governors of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), Straka was honored as its president in 2021. His influence extends beyond architecture to research, education, and sustainability advocacy.
