Course Report

Built on top of a former landfill site, this is the first golf course constructed in New York City in more than 50 years.

About

A Jack Nicklaus Signature Design built on a former landfill site, this links-style course offers stunning Manhattan skyline views and challenging Scottish-inspired golf just minutes from Manhattan. Features rolling fescue hills, strategic bunkers, and five teeing options.

Caddie Tip

The course plays as true links golf with firm conditions and strategic centerline bunkers. Study the wind patterns carefully as they change throughout the round, and don't be afraid to take on the centerline bunkers for better approach angles to the greens.

The Main Challenge

Strategic centerline bunkers force difficult decisions off the tee, while firm links conditions demand precise approach shots. Multiple hazards guard the greens, and the ever-present wind adds complexity to club selection and shot execution throughout the Scottish-inspired layout.

The Good

The spectacular panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline, Throggs Neck and Whitestone Bridges create an unforgettable backdrop throughout the round. The authentic Scottish links design with rolling terrain and strategic bunkering provides a unique golfing experience in an urban setting.

The Not So Good

Pace of play can be slow with rounds extending over 5 hours during peak times. Some golfers note that the artificial nature of the terrain, being built on a landfill, lacks the natural character found at traditional links courses despite the excellent design execution.
