Course Report

Diamante was ranked No. 1 in Arkansas by Golf Digest from 1997 to 2000 and has been recognized as one of America’s toughest courses.

About

Diamante Country Club is a private, award-winning 18-hole golf course designed to challenge golfers of all levels. Opened in 1995, it has earned top rankings in Arkansas and is known for its flexibility, length, and scenic Ouachita Mountains setting. The course provides a world-class, private club experience with a robust array of amenities.

Caddie Tip

Keep the driver under control, as Diamante’s long, undulating fairways and numerous bunkers punish wayward shots. Play for smart angles into the large, fast bentgrass greens and pay attention to the wind, which can swirl among the tree-lined holes, especially on the back nine.

The Main Challenge

Diamante is particularly tough from the back tees, with multiple holes requiring long carries, precision over water hazards, and strategic shotmaking due to severe elevation changes. Fast bentgrass greens and tricky pin placements increase the challenge, especially in tournament conditions.

The Good

Golfers rave about Diamante’s challenging design, which offers a blend of dramatic elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and lush, tree-lined fairways set against the backdrop of the Ouachita Mountains. Seven sets of tees allow players of all abilities to enjoy the course, making it both accessible and demanding.

The Not So Good

Some players note that rough or wet areas can occasionally affect play, particularly after heavy rain, and the course’s difficulty may be intimidating for higher handicaps. As a private club, access is also limited to members and their guests, restricting outside play.
