Course Report

Fallen Oak was created exclusively for guests of the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and spans over 510 acres of woodlands, featuring more than 4,000 mature oaks, magnolias, and pines.

About

Fallen Oak is a Tom Fazio-designed resort course exclusively for guests of the Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi. Carved through majestic southern woodland, the course features tree-lined fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and water features amid 510 scenic acres. Renowned for immaculate conditions and luxury amenities, Fallen Oak stands as one of the leading golf experiences in Mississippi and the broader Gulf Coast.

Caddie Tip

Stay below the hole on approach shots, as Fallen Oak’s greens are quick and contoured. Many holes reward conservative play; if you’re not familiar with the many subtle slopes and elevation changes, trust the center of the green over chasing pins. Avoid the deep fairway bunkers and beware of the well-defended finishing stretch.

The Main Challenge

The combination of water hazards, undulating terrain, bunkering, and narrow approaches tests both length and precision off the tee and into the greens. Fallen Oak is notorious for its tough closing stretch, and swirling winds can make club selection tricky. Both low and high handicappers will find a true test of shot-making throughout.

The Good

Golfers particularly love the pristine conditioning throughout the course, and the way Tom Fazio designed holes that feel both secluded and visually striking. The elevated greens, mature woodlands, and first-class amenities—including hospitality and service—help distinguish Fallen Oak as a luxury golf experience, making each round memorable.

The Not So Good

The most frequent criticism is that the course is only playable by Beau Rivage resort guests, limiting access. Some guests note that the green fee is relatively high for the region and the course can be tough to walk due to significant elevation changes and distances between holes.
