Course Report

Finna Golf & Country Club sits at the convergence of three mountains, granting panoramic views throughout the round and cool mountain air rarely found on Indonesian golf courses.

About

Finna Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole championship mountain resort course designed by renowned architects Peter Thomson, Michael Wolveridge, and Ross Perrett. Located in East Java at over 700 meters altitude, it blends seamlessly into tropical foothills, offering lush scenery and challenging play in a resort setting with complete amenities.

Caddie Tip

Beware fast, sloping greens—especially on the back nine—and play conservatively off the tees to avoid deep rough and isolated hazards. Approach shots need precise club selection due to swirling mountain winds. Trust your caddie’s advice on subtle grain and break direction.

The Main Challenge

The toughest aspect is contending with the undulating terrain and swirling winds, which demand precision in shot-making and club selection. Deep bunkers and thick rough catch stray shots, making recovery difficult. The final stretch is especially unforgiving if fatigued.

The Good

Golfers love Finna’s spectacular mountain views on almost every hole, combined with the tranquil setting and fresh air. The variety in the routing and the challenge from natural undulations, matured foliage, and dramatic backdrops make each round memorable.

The Not So Good

The most common complaints revolve around slow pace of play, especially on busy weekends, and bunkers that sometimes need more consistent maintenance. Greens can be patchy in wetter months and cart paths occasionally require upkeep.
