Course Report

Glenwild is Utah’s highest-rated private club and has been ranked the state’s No. 1 course by Golf Digest multiple years running.

About

Glenwild Golf Club & Spa, located in Park City, Utah, is a Tom Fazio-designed private club nestled in the Wasatch Mountains. Established in 2001, it features an 18-hole championship layout acclaimed for its playability, natural beauty, and meticulous conditioning. The exclusive club offers luxury amenities, including a world-class spa, exceptional dining, and panoramic mountain vistas.

Caddie Tip

Keep approaches below the pin on greens, as many have subtle slopes making downhill putts lightning fast. Favor safe tee shots to the wider side of fairways, especially where water comes into play, and bring an extra club into elevated greens.

The Main Challenge

The biggest challenge at Glenwild is navigating the elevation changes and managing precision on approach shots to undulating, well-guarded greens. Strategic bunkering, fast greens, and frequent swirling winds demand sound club selection and shot planning to score well.

The Good

Golfers praise the superb routing and maintenance of Glenwild, as well as the dramatic views of the surrounding Wasatch Mountains. The Tom Fazio design delivers a rewarding mix of strategy, shot values, and scenic beauty, making every round feel special. The sense of exclusivity and attentive staff enhance the overall experience.

The Not So Good

Some players feel the tight membership and exclusivity may limit social opportunities for guests and that certain sand bunkers can get compacted after rain. Additionally, the high altitude and mountain terrain make walking all 18 holes demanding for some golfers.
