Course Report

Ross Bridge is one of the longest golf courses in the world and features an 80-foot cascading waterfall between the 9th and 18th greens.

About

RTJ Golf Trail at Ross Bridge is the newest jewel of the RTJ Trail, designed by Roger Rulewich and Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Opened in 2005, it stretches nearly 8,200 yards from the tips, featuring dramatic elevation changes, water hazards, and large rolling greens. The course offers a parkland-style layout nestled in the scenic Shannon Valley and stands out for its length, beauty, and resort amenities.

Caddie Tip

Conservative play off the tee is rewarded, as generous fairways give way to challenging approaches. Play for the safe side of the greens, especially on par 3s; elevation changes and water hazards make club selection critical. Take advantage of the multiple tee boxes to fit your game and watch for subtly breaking greens.

The Main Challenge

Ross Bridge's greatest test is its length and the way water and elevation changes come into play on most holes. Large greens with subtle breaks demand precision, while split fairways and risk-reward par 5s challenge golfers to make smart decisions for scoring opportunities.

The Good

Golfers love the epic scale of Ross Bridge, with its dramatic elevation changes, massive fairways, and large, rolling Bermuda greens. The resort environment, beautiful water hazards, and scenic views create a memorable golf experience. The course's variety and strategic options provide enjoyment for all skill levels.

The Not So Good

Some players note the course can play extremely long from the back tees, creating a challenging pace and tough approach shots for shorter hitters. Busy periods may lead to slow rounds, and the vast course layout can feel overwhelming to first-time visitors.
