Course Report

The course’s 13th hole cost $7 million to build and features one of the largest man-made waterfalls in golf, pumping 5,000 gallons of water per minute over 101 feet of black granite.

About

Trump National Golf Club Westchester is a private, 18-hole parkland course located just outside New York City in Briarcliff Manor. Designed by Jim Fazio, the course underwent a major renovation and reopened in 2002, providing expansive fairways, challenging bunkers, and immaculate bentgrass greens for members seeking an exclusive golf experience.

Caddie Tip

Manage your approach shots carefully, as many greens are well protected by water and large bunkers. The course plays longer than the card reads due to prevailing winds and subtle elevation changes. On the signature 13th, aim for the center of the green—short or right will likely find water.

The Main Challenge

The biggest challenge is the demanding approach shots into well-guarded greens, several of which are surrounded by large bunkers or water features—particularly on the back nine. Tall rough and subtle breaks in the greens severely punish missed fairways and aggressive putting lines.

The Good

The highlight for most members is the expertly maintained, fast greens combined with spectacular landscaping throughout the property. The experience is further elevated by attentive service, modern Clubhouse amenities, and the quiet seclusion of the grounds despite proximity to New York City.

The Not So Good

Some members have noted that the course, while visually impressive and well maintained, can play repetitively off the tee with several similar par 4 layouts. Others wish for a greater variety of elevation changes or hole routing that takes more dramatic advantage of the landscape.

Signature Hole:

#

13

No items found.

The signature 13th hole is a dramatic par 3 featuring a striking 101-foot black granite waterfall, making it both visually intimidating and strategically demanding. This hole is known for its risk-reward element, with water in play and a demanding tee shot that challenges players to attack the pin while managing hazards right in front of the green.

Clubhouse

No items found.

The 75,000-square-foot clubhouse offers fine dining, a well-appointed locker room, fitness center, luxurious lounges, private event spaces, and one of Westchester’s largest outdoor pools alongside Har-Tru tennis courts. Guests enjoy attentive service and high-end finishes throughout.

Practice Facilities

No items found.
