Course Report

At 7,000 feet elevation, balls fly noticeably farther, making Tuhaye's 7,800 yards play shorter than its intimidating number suggests.

About

Tuhaye at Talisker Club, designed by Mark O'Meara, is an exclusive private mountain golf course near Park City, Utah. Set at 7,000 feet, it offers 18 challenging holes with sweeping views of the Wasatch Mountains, fast Bentgrass greens, and exceptional conditions. Its routing, conditioning, and private-club amenities create a standout Utah golf experience.

Caddie Tip

Club selection is critical at elevation—expect noticeably longer carries. Pay close attention to changing wind directions, especially on elevated tees, and don’t be greedy on the back nine, where uphill climbs and risk-reward holes await. On 12, play to your favorite distance off the tee for a comfortable approach.

The Main Challenge

The finishing stretch, especially holes 15–18, plays predominantly uphill with prevailing winds. Strategic bunkering and fast greens demand precise approaches, while elevation shifts add complexity. The long par 4s and risk-reward par 5s create a final challenge, rewarding bold but thoughtful play.

The Good

Players especially love the fast, pure Bentgrass greens, beautiful panoramic mountain views, and the course’s quiet exclusivity. Mark O’Meara’s design thoughtfully uses elevation changes for variety without unreasonable severity. Overall, Tuhaye’s calm setting and pristine conditioning are consistent member favorites.

The Not So Good

Some golfers feel the course could benefit from more varied hole lengths, as multiple par 4s exceed 500 yards and can challenge shorter hitters. A few areas also struggle with occasional wind exposure, which can magnify missed shots. Expanded practice areas would further enhance the member experience.
