Course Report

The course sits on the historic site of the former Desert Inn, which hosted the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions through the 1960s.

About

Wynn Golf Club, designed by Tom Fazio and Steve Wynn, is the only golf course on the Las Vegas Strip. Featuring meandering streams, mature trees, waterfalls, and lush conditioning, it provides a striking parkland oasis amid the desert city. After a major renovation in 2019, the 18-hole, par-70 course combines challenging play and luxury resort amenities at the edge of the famed Strip.

Caddie Tip

Take advantage of the professional caddies available at Wynn Golf Club; many holes require precise strategy off the tee and into greens heavily guarded by bunkers and water. Pay special attention to pin positions and elevation changes—playing safe can save strokes, especially around the tricky approaches.

The Main Challenge

The toughest aspect is the demand for precise shot placement—streams, lakes, and bold bunkering threaten many fairways and greens. Elevation changes and undulating putting surfaces test approach shots and make club selection vital, especially with swirling winds and championship-level green speeds.

The Good

Golfers rave about the course’s oasis-like setting in the heart of Las Vegas and the luxurious amenities, including caddie service, high-end rental equipment, and attentive staff. The lush landscaping and dramatic elevation changes provide a Las Vegas golf experience unmatched for convenience and atmosphere.

The Not So Good

Some guests note the premium greens fee, which is among the highest in the region, makes it inaccessible for many golfers. Others mention the compulsory use of golf carts and strict resort policies can feel limiting compared to more traditional layouts.
