Graham Cooke is not only a prolific golf architect but also a champion amateur golfer, representing Canada on seven national teams and holding a record for most appearances on Quebec’s provincial Willingdon Cup team.
Graham Cooke is widely recognized as one of Canada’s most respected golf course architects and a leading figure in North American golf design. After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from Michigan State University, where he played on the championship-winning golf team, he apprenticed with Howard Watson before launching Graham Cooke & Associates in 1973. Cooke has designed and overseen the construction of more than 100 golf courses worldwide, with notable projects in Canada, the USA, France, Italy, and beyond. Five of his courses are ranked among the Top 100 in Canada, including Glen Arbour and Fox Harb’r Resort. He is a three-time Golf Digest “Best New Course in Canada” honoree. Cooke’s deep involvement in golf extends beyond architecture; he is a decorated amateur player, having won multiple Canadian championships and represented Canada in international competitions. His commitment to blending natural landscapes with playability has made him a sought-after consultant and designer in the golf world.
