Nick Faldo, born in England, is one of golf’s greatest champions and is highly respected as a golf course architect. After an illustrious playing career—highlighted by 6 major championships, 43 worldwide professional wins, and a record 25 Ryder Cup points—Faldo founded Faldo Design in 1991. Leveraging insights from competing on the world’s most strategic layouts, his design philosophy centers on strategy, challenge, and integrating courses seamlessly with natural landscapes. Since then, Faldo has designed, remodeled, or consulted on more than 50 golf courses across five continents, working on acclaimed projects from Chart Hills in Kent, England to Laguna Golf Lăng Cô in Vietnam and Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. Many Faldo-designed courses are celebrated for their thoughtful use of the environment and memorable playing experiences. Today, Faldo continues to influence global golf through his architecture while also promoting the game through commentary and youth development initiatives.
