Ron Forse's restoration and renovation work is so renowned that from 2006 through 2025, 11 USGA National Championships have been played on courses where Forse Design has performed significant renovations.

Ron Forse is an accomplished American golf course architect recognized primarily for his expertise in restoration and remodeling of classic courses. Born in New Jersey, Forse was inspired to pursue design by his uncle, a boat designer, and eventually earned a degree in landscape architecture from West Virginia University in 1979. After initially working in civil engineering, he followed his passion and entered the field of golf course architecture, establishing Forse Design. Over more than two decades, Forse has worked on over 140 projects, specializing in revitalizing golden-age courses originally designed by legends like Donald Ross, A.W. Tillinghast, and William S. Flynn. He and his longtime associate, Jim Nagle, became celebrated for their sensitive restorations at numerous prestigious venues, including 11 of Golfweek's Top 100 classic courses and multiple USGA championship hosts. Forse’s approach emphasizes preserving each course’s unique character while updating them for modern play, resulting in widespread acclaim among clubs and golfers alike.
