Tripp Davis is a distinguished American golf course architect and former accomplished amateur golfer. While at the University of Oklahoma, he was an NCAA All-American and a member of the 1989 national championship team. Davis’s passion for golf course architecture began at age 15, and after a brief stint trying professional golf, he earned a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. In 1994, he founded Tripp Davis and Associates, a boutique firm known for strategic, historically informed designs that work in harmony with the land. Davis’s portfolio includes celebrated restorations and original designs, such as The Tribute Golf Club near Dallas, Texas, Preston Trail Golf Club, and the restoration of Engineers Country Club in New York. Renowned as a golf historian and naturalist, he brings a minimalist, strategic approach to every project, combining a deep understanding from his playing career with a craftsman's attention to detail. His work continues to shape top courses nationally and internationally.
