Course Report

The Stadium Course is one of Europe's longest, stretching over 8,000 yards from the back tees, with water in play on nearly three-quarters of the holes.

About

Bro Hof Slott Golf Club’s Stadium Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is a world-class, lakeside layout known for its daunting length, dramatic water features, and tournament pedigree. Opened in 2007, it regularly ranks as Sweden’s top course and has hosted several European Tour events, offering a memorable challenge in a striking setting northwest of Stockholm.

Caddie Tip

Avoid getting aggressive on forced carries over water—club selection and aiming for the middle of the greens is key, especially on the closing stretch where the wind picks up and water hazards can punish the slightest mis-hit. On the long par fours, resist the temptation to cut corners as fairway bunkers are deep and well-placed.

The Main Challenge

The toughest challenge at Bro Hof Slott Stadium Course is dealing with its length and water hazards, especially as wind often sweeps in from Lake Mälaren. Strategic bunkering, multi-tiered greens, and frequent forced carries require accuracy and demand focused shotmaking throughout the round.

The Good

Golfers love the impressive vistas over Lake Mälaren, the strategic routing, and the excitement of playing a European Tour venue. The scale and conditioning of the course, massive greens, and dramatic finishing holes create a memorable championship experience unique in Scandinavia.

The Not So Good

Golfers occasionally cite tough walking due to the length and distance between holes, especially across undulating terrain. There can also be slow play during peak times and tournament weeks, and the significant water hazards challenge higher handicaps, sometimes causing frustration.

The par-3 17th hole is renowned for its visual drama and challenge, playing directly over the water with a peninsula green surrounded on three sides by Lake Mälaren’s edge. The prevailing wind and water make club selection critical, creating a memorable and demanding test late in the round.

Clubhouse

No items found.

The modern clubhouse features fine and casual dining with lake views, locker rooms, a pro shop, and event spaces. Golfers enjoy patio seating, high-end amenities, and stylish Swedish design. Additional conveniences such as equipment rentals and shower facilities are available.

Practice Facilities
