Course Report

Haesley Nine Bridges is the only course in the world with both a sub-air and hydronics system installed under every green, allowing staff to precisely control soil moisture and temperature throughout the year.

About

Haesley Nine Bridges is an acclaimed private club near Seoul, designed by David Dale and Kevin Ramsey of Golfplan in collaboration with agronomy expert Marsh Benson. Opened in 2009, the course is set amid rolling terrain and renowned for its unique holes, pristine bentgrass greens, and sophisticated sub-air and hydronics systems. The layout is a blend of strategic challenge and scenic beauty, complemented by an iconic award-winning clubhouse by Shigeru Ban.

Caddie Tip

Caddies point out that approach shots should favor the wider sides of the heavily contoured greens, as pins are often tucked near trouble. On the signature 10th, a conservative layup is safest off the tee; over-aggression courts disaster with ample water and tough recovery areas.

The Main Challenge

The greatest challenge at Haesley is the combination of lightning-fast greens and dramatic water hazards that come into play on several approach shots. The elevation changes and undulating fairways test ball striking and club selection, punishing overly aggressive play. Course management is essential for scoring.

The Good

Golfers most love the blend of modern course conditioning with classic hole variety and memorable green complexes. The unique layout mixes drama with strategy; the state-of-the-art maintenance and remarkable clubhouse ensure every visit feels exceptional and exclusive.

The Not So Good

Players sometimes note that the course’s exclusivity and high demand limit accessibility, and that occasional wet-weather days can make rough play challenging. Some also mention that the course's premium fees do not include all amenities, making a round feel expensive compared to peer clubs.

Signature Hole:

#

10

No items found.

The 10th hole, a short par 4, stands out for its island fairway and island green, bordered by a dramatic thirty-foot waterfall. The hole demands precision off the tee and approach, providing both high risk and spectacular scenery. The entire green complex is surrounded by water, making it the most memorable and photographed spot on the course.

Clubhouse

The award-winning clubhouse, designed by Shigeru Ban, offers luxurious locker rooms, fine dining, a members’ lounge, multiple function rooms, and a beautiful glass atrium with panoramic views. The architecture is modern and scenic, enhancing the overall experience with extensive member-focused amenities.

Practice Facilities

No items found.

Haesley features a full driving range with real grass tees, excellent short game areas, and well-maintained putting greens. The facilities are designed to replicate on-course conditions and provide year-round practice options, including covered bays for inclement weather.
