About
Hot Springs Country Club (Arlington) is an historic 18-hole layout nestled in the picturesque Ouachita foothills of Arkansas. Established in 1898, the course was originally designed by Hall of Famer Willie Park Jr., with the current Arlington course crafted by William Diddel in 1927 and restored by Ben Crenshaw. The club is known for its tradition, mature tree-lined fairways, and challenging routing.
Caddie Tip
Accuracy is essential off the tee due to mature tree-lined fairways and elevated greens. Approach shots must be precise, as many greens are contoured and fast. Pay close attention to pin positions and beware of the subtle breaks throughout the course, particularly on the back nine’s challenging undulations.
The Main Challenge
The Arlington Course’s greatest challenge lies in its tight, tree-lined fairways and fast, sloped greens. Precision off the tee is mandatory, and approach shots demand careful distance control. Several holes play uphill or feature guarded greens, and the finishing stretch tests both nerve and shot making, particularly in tournament conditions.

The Not So Good

Clubhouse
The modern clubhouse, rebuilt in 1999, features upscale dining, a spacious bar, locker rooms, banquet facilities, and a well-stocked pro shop. Members also enjoy tennis courts, a fitness center, and a swimming pool, with attentive staff maintaining a high standard of service.
Practice Facilities
The club offers a quality practice range, putting green, and short game area. While comprehensive, these facilities can become crowded during peak times or events. Instruction from PGA professionals and custom club fittings are also available to members.
