Course Report
The course is part of Little Rock’s largest public recreation area and sits on the banks of the Arkansas River, giving several holes river views.
About
Rebsamen Park Golf Course, designed by Tom Clark and Kevin Atkinson, is a municipal 18-hole layout nestled along a scenic bend of the Arkansas River. Established in 1954, it features Tif-Dwarf Bermuda greens, a championship-length course, practice areas, and a welcoming atmosphere for golfers of every skill level.
Caddie Tip
Play conservatively off the tee, as tree-lined fairways and occasional river breezes can punish wayward drives. The Tif-Dwarf Bermuda greens are generally quick, so focusing on precise approach shots and careful lag putting will help avoid big numbers, especially on the closing stretch.
The Main Challenge
Rebsamen Park’s greatest challenge lies in its length and water hazards. The long par 4s and strategic use of the river and ponds require accuracy off the tee and on approaches. Wind from the river can further complicate shot selection, especially on exposed holes.
The Good
Golfers love Rebsamen Park for its riverside scenery, approachable green fees, and inclusive public access. The varied layout offers challenging stretches while still being fair to higher handicappers. The community-focused atmosphere and well-maintained practice facilities make it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The Not So Good
Some players note that the course can show signs of heavy use, especially after rain or during peak periods. Occasional slow play and maintenance issues on certain fairways or bunkers have been mentioned, though conditions remain above average for a municipal layout.
Signature Hole:
#
18
The 18th hole at Rebsamen Park is a demanding par 4 that runs parallel to the Arkansas River. With a long, narrow fairway and a well-guarded green, it demands both accuracy and length to finish the round strong. Water hazards and mature trees create a scenic yet challenging final test.
Clubhouse
Expect a functional clubhouse with a pro shop, snack bar, and indoor seating. While not luxurious, the facilities are clean and convenient, catering to the needs of regular golfers and event groups.
Practice Facilities
The course offers a full driving range, short game practice area, and putting green. It’s a solid setup for warming up before your round or working on your game, with ample space and good access for daily users.
