Course Report

The back nine is fully floodlit, allowing for night golf year-round—the first of its kind at a Trump property worldwide.

About

Trump International Golf Club Dubai is an 18-hole, par-71 course masterfully designed by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner. Opened in 2017 within the DAMAC Hills community, the club offers championship-standard golf with links-style fairways and a challenging, modern desert routing. It features first-class amenities, a floodlit par-3 academy course, and an extensive TrackMan-equipped practice range.

Caddie Tip

Take extra care with approach shots, as greens are large and often elevated with significant runoffs. On the signature 13th, favor the right side of the fairway off the tee for a clear angle to the green. Beware strong afternoon winds, and always check pin positions closely as contours can make for demanding lag putting.

The Main Challenge

The course tests players with strategic bunkering, sloping greens, and unpredictable desert winds. Long par 4s and the risk-reward par-5s keep scoring difficult, while natural undulations and numerous sandy waste areas demand precision off the tee and on approaches.

The Good

Golfers praise the Gil Hanse design for creative bunkering, dramatic contouring, and varied hole strategies that offer something new each round. The modern amenities, including a stunning clubhouse and one of Dubai’s top practice facilities, further elevate the experience. Night golf under floodlights is an especially popular draw.

The Not So Good

Despite top-tier conditions, some players cite slow pace of play during peak times, especially as twilight and night sessions are popular. In summer months, the desert heat can make afternoon play challenging—even with cooling technology. Some also wish for more distinctive water features on signature holes.

Signature Hole:

#

13

No items found.

The par-4 13th is distinguished by its striking 'island' green, surrounded entirely by sand rather than water, requiring a bold and accurate approach. Its left dogleg fairway tempts aggressive play, but those who miss the green will contend with deep desert bunkering and severe slopes. This hole epitomizes the course’s risk-reward design philosophy.

Clubhouse

The clubhouse is one of Dubai’s largest, featuring several upscale restaurants and lounges, luxury locker rooms, a high-end golf shop, wellness center, infinity pool, and rooftop terrace overlooking the closing holes and city skyline.

Practice Facilities

No items found.

The club’s practice area boasts a floodlit TrackMan driving range, extensive short game zone, large putting green, and a dedicated 9-hole par-3 academy course. PGA instruction, modern club fitting, and practice with advanced analytics are available year-round.
