Course Report

Trump International Golf Club Lido is the first Trump-branded course in the southern hemisphere and was purpose-built as the centerpiece of MNC Lido City, featuring future resort hotels and luxury villas.

About

Trump International Golf Club Lido is a private, 18-hole course near Bogor, Indonesia, masterfully designed by Ernie Els. Set within MNC Lido City, the layout offers dramatic elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and panoramic views of surrounding volcanoes. The course features Zoysia fairways and TifEagle greens, providing a world-class test that blends artistry and challenge in a mountain setting.

Caddie Tip

Trust your caddie’s recommendations on approach angles—local knowledge is key as shifting winds and elevation changes dramatically affect club selection, especially on the mountain-side holes. Watch for subtle breaks on TifEagle greens and respect water hazards guarding several approaches.

The Main Challenge

The course’s primary challenge lies in its elevation changes and complex bunkering. Tight landing zones and elevated greens demand precise distance control while swirling mountain winds amplify the difficulty. Water hazards, split fairways, and ravines turn every round into a stern test, especially on the back nine.

The Good

Golfers rave about the panoramic mountain vistas from nearly every hole, especially the views of Mount Salak, Pangrango, and Gede. The thoughtfully sculpted fairways, modern amenities, and personalized service combine for an ultra-premium golf experience unique to Indonesia.

The Not So Good

Some members note the remote location creates travel challenges from Jakarta, and limited tee availability restricts last-minute bookings. The newly established grounds may still be maturing, especially outside fairway areas, and some amenities are under ongoing construction.
