Course Report

The back nine and the par-3 academy course are fully floodlit, allowing night golf for both casual and serious players.

About

Designed by Thomson Perrett & Lobb, Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club offers a picturesque, challenging par-70 championship course in the oasis city of Al Ain. The facility features 18 holes, a floodlit academy par-3 course, a PGA academy, and a modern clubhouse with excellent amenities. Water hazards and deep bunkers provide strategic interest.

Caddie Tip

On most holes, avoid challenging water hazards directly. The fairways reward strategic placement rather than power, especially on longer par 4s and the formidable par 5 10th; play for the optimal approach angle to minimize risk.

The Main Challenge

Water hazards influence over half the holes, requiring accuracy off the tee and thoughtful shot selection on approach. Deep bunkers are strategically placed throughout; the 10th and several par 4s and 5s are notably tough, testing even skilled players.

The Good

Golfers praise the floodlit back nine, which provides a unique experience to play after sunset in the desert climate. The modern clubhouse, exceptional practice facilities, and the friendly, inclusive atmosphere—rare for the region—make the whole visit memorable.

The Not So Good

Some golfers mention summer playing conditions can be challenging due to intense heat and slow greens at peak times. Improvements in signage, shade structures, and cart access to more holes have also been suggested.
