Royale Jakarta Golf Club (West/North) is a 27-hole championship course designed by Bob Moore Jr. & JMP Design Group, located just 15 minutes from Jakarta’s center. Known for its immaculate maintenance, lush tropical landscaping, and year-round playability using Seashore Paspalum grass, it hosts the Indonesian Masters and features strategic bunkering, water challenges, and strong visual appeal.
Caddie Tip
Water hazards and deep bunkers are frequent; local caddies advise cautious play on approach shots, with conservative strategy on the West/North 9th to avoid a watery finish. Pay close attention to subtle slopes on greens and trust the caddie’s advice for reading grain and wind.
The Main Challenge
The toughest part of Royale Jakarta (West/North) comes from frequent water hazards and strategic bunkering. Several holes demand precise shot placement, and prevailing winds often complicate decision-making. The closing North 9th requires both length and nerve, as aggressive play risks a watery disaster.
The Good

The Not So Good

Hole 9 on the North Course is a par 5 that finishes with a risk-reward shot over water to a green directly in front of the panoramic clubhouse. With water guarding the approach and superb vistas, this memorable closer tests nerves and rewards bold play.
