Perched above Kamloops Lake, Tobiano features dramatic elevation changes, ravines, and scenic views from every hole. Known for its challenging yet enjoyable layout, exceptional course conditions, and striking natural setting, the course annually ranks as one of Canada’s top golf destinations.
Caddie Tip
Precision and club selection are vital at Tobiano due to frequent elevation changes and wind exposure. On the signature 8th hole, favor the left center of the fairway to avoid the ravine’s edge, and be mindful that approach shots often play shorter than yardage indicates because of the prevailing wind off the lake.
The Main Challenge
Tobiano’s greatest challenge comes from its elevation changes, native grass rough, and dramatic ravines which require strategic play off the tee and into greens. Wind is often a factor, amplifying the difficulty, while the undulating greens require a deft putting touch to score well.
The Good
Golfers rave about Tobiano’s breathtaking vistas overlooking Kamloops Lake and the variety of memorable holes that blend natural terrain with strategic design. The course’s condition and visual drama, particularly across its back nine, leave lasting impressions and make for a truly special round.

Practice Facilities
Tobiano offers a full practice area including a driving range with expansive views, a large putting green, and a dedicated chipping/pitching zone. Lessons and club rentals are available, and a TrackMan simulator allows for advanced practice regardless of weather conditions.
